Difficult Farewell

After more than two decades, today might be the last day I saw Dr. Bryan Arling's office.  Our beloved doctor will retire early next year.  Though inevitable, we feel sad to say farewell.  After all those years, our relationship with him is full of trust and closeness that only exist within our family.  Adding more sad tone is the death of his baby grandson. What a cute baby!

We wished Dr. Arling to have an enjoyable retirement life, which undoubtedly he will.  He is such a wonderful human being, so caring, and he is the one in a class by himself.  We know we'll never have another doctor like him.  He wished both of us good luck in finding good care.  We've been fortunate to be under his care till the end of his career as a medical doctor.  We will truly miss him!

We know we'll find good doctors who practice medicine but we won't find a doctor like him.  I got my last prescription he wrote.  Feel like from now on we would be on our own.

Many years ago we were thinking of leaving the area and moving to the south.  What made us stay was actually Dr. Arling.  We figured we'd never find anyone like him in the south.  Today to us is the close of the page for a great era.
